about

Funded by local donations and supported by Tree of Dreams,  Neighbor For Neighbor is a non-profit assistance center that offers help to those individuals in need of food, clothing and/or assistance with their utilities or housing.  Neighbor For Neighbor is open on Wednesdays from 9 am to 12:00 pm. Neighbor For Neighbor serves individuals and families residing in Springfield, Holly, Groveland and Rose Townships and limited areas of Independence and White Lake Townships.

how we help

In an average fiscal year, we:

  • Serve approximately 1,300 local individuals

  • Distribute more than 50 tons of food through our food pantry

  • Distribute thousands of bags of clothing through our clothing closet.

  • Pay more than $31,000 annually to utility companies and landlords to prevent service shutoffs and evictions.

We succeed in supporting our local families in-need through various types of donations: food, household items, toiletries, gently-used clothing, monetary gifts, gift cards, and the gift of volunteers' time.

With 90 cents of every donated dollar going toward program services for North Oakland County residents in-need, you can rest assured that your contributions are being put to good use, right here in your local community. A testament to our success is that some of Neighbor For Neighbor's best supporters are families who once utilized the services we provide.
